The Cooper Union School of Art Saturday Outreach Programs
Explore the arts within the Outreach Program and the Saturday Program.
Both offer free courses with materials included.
Students are represented in seasonal exhibitions, publications, and poetry slams, and take field trips to museums, artist studios, and galleries.

The Saturday Program
- Each year over 200 N.Y.C. public high school students enroll in Saturday Program for classes in: Drawing, Graphic Design, Painting, Sculpture, Sound Composition, Architecture and Portfolio Preparation.
- Courses run Saturdays, 10am-5pm for 2 semesters, October through April and are held at the Cooper Union College.
- All classes combine 'hands on' studio work (with free classroom supplies included) also creative writing workshops and field trips to cultural sites
- The Saturday Program accepts students from New York City Public High Schools, grades 9-12.

The Outreach Program
- Do you want to be an artist or designer?
- Study art in Cooper’s drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture and design studios.
- Create portfolios and essays for college applications.
- Students in grades 10-12 from the NYC area apply by portfolio review.
- Fall, Winter and Spring Programs take place on Saturdays, 9-5pm, for 6 to 8 weeks. Summer Programs meets 4 days/week for 4 and 6 week sessions
- 2 to 4 week Summer Residencies available through Outreach for artists teaching in New York City.
